Mission Statement
Fishin’ for a Cure is dedicated to bringing hope and support to those in need through community-driven fishing events and fundraising to make a difference for individuals battling breast cancer through fishing, fun, and fellowship.
Where We Are
Fishin’ for a Cure is a 501c3 charitable organization that began in Eastern North Carolina and now has a statewide reach. We were founded in Emerald Isle, NC. Our events are held in various locations in North Carolina, including Greensboro, Wilson, Dobson, Archdale, Mount Airy, Cape Carteret, Morehead City and Emerald Isle.
Achievements and Impact
In 12 years, Fishin' for a Cure has raised over 1.6 million dollars directly benefiting breast cancer patients, caregivers, and their families.

Shuckin' for a Cure
Shuckin' for Hope is more than an oyster roast -it's an intimate evening hosted by Fishin' for a Cure. The event promises to bring our community together for food, fellowship, and fun, while making a meaningful impact.
Join us at Carolina Home and Garden, from 6pm to 9pm, on Friday, February 6, 2026, for a hope-inspired evening featuring fresh oysters, artisan wood-fired pizza cooked on-site, and live music by the Mike Santos Duo. A beautifully curated wine tasting experience and cash bar will also be available.

FFAC's 4th Annual Brraamingo Plunge & Flamingle
Yes, Freezin’ for a Reason! Join us February 7th, 2025 at 9:45am in support of our amazing celebrity plungers at the Western Access in Emerald Isle. After the plunge, join us at 2:00 pm for an afternoon/evening of Flamingling at the Emerald Club. All proceeds from this event will benefit FFAC as “Every Catch Counts”.
