How You Can Support Fishin’ for a Cure 2026: Anchored in Hope This October

Fishin’ for a Cure 2026: Anchored in Hope brings the community together each year to support breast cancer patients, caregivers, and families. The annual event weekend, held October 9 - 12 this year, includes fishing, golf, art, games, music, and other activities. Attending an event is one of many ways to help.

Businesses, organizations, artists, vendors, and individual supporters can also contribute through sponsorships, donations, the online auction, and the 50/50 raffle. Some opportunities allow you to support the cause from home, while others provide meaningful ways to involve your business or share your talents with the community.

Here are several ways to participate in Fishin’ for a Cure 2026.

Become an Official Sponsor

Event sponsors provide essential support that helps Fishin’ for a Cure organize its annual fundraising weekend and continue serving people affected by breast cancer.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses, nonprofit organizations, community groups, families, and individuals. Levels begin with the $100 Pink Tide sponsorship and extend through the $10,000 Blue Marlin level.

Our sponsorship levels are:

  • Blue Marlin

  • White Marlin

  • Wahoo

  • King Mackerel

  • Spanish Mackerel

  • Puppy Drum

  • Spot

  • Minnow

  • Pink Tide

  • Plus Media sponsorships

Each level includes demonstrations of your support that connect your name or organization with the Fishin’ for a Cure mission. For example, every level gets a logo and link from our website. Other benefits may include tees, team registration, dinner, logo on the tees, and/or a memorial sign.

Sponsoring the event can be especially meaningful for local businesses. It allows you to support patients and families while showing customers, employees, and community members that your organization is committed to an important local cause.

Participate as a Saturday Vendor

Local businesses, artists, makers, food vendors, and community organizations can get involved by participating in Saturday’s activities as vendors.

Vendors can introduce their products or services to event attendees while donating a portion of their proceeds to Fishin’ for a Cure. This provides an opportunity to support the fundraiser while also becoming part of the community celebration.

A vendor contribution does not have to be complicated. You might sell artwork, handmade products, food, clothing, accessories, or other merchandise and designate part of the day’s sales for Fishin’ for a Cure.

Participating as a vendor can help you:

  • Reach new customers

  • Connect with members of the community

  • Promote your business or creative work

  • Support breast cancer patients and their families

  • Become part of one of the area’s largest annual fundraising traditions

Donate an Item to the Online Auction

Fishin’ for a Cure is also seeking donated items for its 2026 Online Auction. The auction will be held online starting October 1st, and end at 8:30 PM on October 10th at Thirsty Surfer.

Auction donations can come from businesses, artists, restaurants, service providers, attractions, community groups, or individual supporters. A donated item helps raise funds for the cause while introducing the donor to people who participate in the auction.

Possible donations include:

  • Original artwork

  • Gift certificates

  • Restaurant or retail gift cards

  • Vacation stays

  • Tickets and entertainment packages

  • Classes or workshops

  • Professional services

  • Gift baskets

  • Clothing or accessories

  • Sports or outdoor merchandise

  • Local experiences

  • Collectibles or specialty items

Businesses can also create a package specifically for the auction. For example, a restaurant might donate dinner for two, a photographer could offer a portrait session, or several businesses could work together to create a larger local experience.

Auction items do not have to be expensive to make a difference. A thoughtful product, useful service, or unique experience can attract bidders and help increase the amount raised.

To donate an auction item or discuss an idea, email fishin4acure@gmail.com.

Enter the 50/50 Raffle

The Fishin’ for a Cure 50/50 Raffle offers one of the easiest ways to contribute from anywhere.

Entries begin at $10, and additional ticket packages are available for supporters who would like more chances to win. Half of the money collected will support Fishin’ for a Cure, and the other half will be awarded to the winning ticket holder.

The raffle drawing is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Thirsty Surfer.

You do not need to attend the drawing to win. That makes the raffle a convenient option for friends, relatives, former residents, and other supporters who cannot travel to Emerald Isle for the event weekend.

Purchasing raffle tickets also provides a simple way to encourage others to participate. Share the raffle page with friends, family members, coworkers, customers, and social media followers.

Bid in the Online Auction

You can also support Fishin’ for a Cure by bidding in the 2026 Online Auction.

The auction is scheduled to open on October 1 and close on Saturday, October 10. Supporters can browse the available items and place bids online, making it possible to participate even if they cannot attend the weekend’s activities.

Winning bidders may pick up their items at Thirsty Surfer at approximately 8:30 p.m. after the auction closes. Out-of-town bidders can contact Fishin’ for a Cure to discuss possible arrangements. A winning bidder may also authorize another person to collect an item on their behalf.

The auction is a great place to shop for gifts, discover local businesses, and bid on special products or experiences while contributing to an important cause.

Help Spread the Word

You can make a difference even when you are not able to contribute financially.

Share information about Fishin’ for a Cure with your personal and professional networks. Post the event page on social media, send the raffle or auction link to friends, or tell a local business about the sponsorship and vendor opportunities.

You can also invite coworkers, customers, family members, and community groups to form teams, sponsor an activity, donate an auction item, or attend part of the weekend.

Every share can introduce Fishin’ for a Cure to someone who may be ready to participate.

Register and Attend Whatever You Can

There are many ways to support Fishin’ for a Cure from a distance, but everyone who is able to attend is encouraged to join the celebration in person.

The October 9–12 weekend includes art, a light-hearted tutu walk, cornhole, music, food, fishing, golf, and opportunities to spend time with people who care deeply about the mission. You do not need to attend every activity to be part of the weekend. Choose the events that best match your interests, schedule, or budget.

Attend one activity, register for several, bring a friend, form a team, or stop by to show your support. Every registration, raffle entry, auction bid, sponsorship, donation, and conversation helps strengthen the Fishin’ for a Cure community.
