Mission Statement

Fishin’ for a Cure is dedicated to bringing hope and support to those in need through community-driven fishing events and fundraising to make a difference for individuals battling breast cancer through fishing, fun, and fellowship.

Where We Are

Fishin’ for a Cure is a 501c3 charitable organization that began in Eastern North Carolina and now has a statewide reach. We were founded in Emerald Isle, NC. Our events are held in various locations in North Carolina, including Greensboro, Wilson, Dobson, Archdale, Mount Airy, Cape Carteret, Morehead City and Emerald Isle.

Achievements and Impact

In 12 years, Fishin' for a Cure has raised over 1.6 million dollars directly benefiting breast cancer patients, caregivers, and their families.

Tee'd Off at Breast Cancer Golf Tournament

Tee'd Off at Breast Cancer Golf Tournament

Sign up now for the 5th Annual Tee’d Off at Breast Cancer Golf Tournament on April 2. This year, the event will be held at the Kinston Country Club.


The registration fee includes green fees, golf cart, range balls, lunch, and awards. Registration also includes a ladies' clinic on Wednesday (optional).


The tournament is capped at 28 teams, and spots are limited.

Reel N Chill Wine Run

Reel N Chill Wine Run

Our May family fun event is just around the corner so make plans to join us and sign up now for FFAC’s 4th Annual Reel N Chill Run/Walk on Satuday, May 2, 2026. Hosted by our wonderful partner Hidden Vineyard in Dobson, NC.

Runners and walkers will experience going through the vines and a wooded trail. This two-lap course culminates with participants tackling Survivor Hill.


Each participant will receive a t-shirt, race packet and finisher medal. Participants 21 and over will receive complimentary wine pour. There will be a Food truck on site with breakfast and lunch options.


There will be a prize for any team that raises more than $250. Also, we have "best dressed" and team recognitions. Sign up or become a sponsor.

9:30 AM Run starts. Events all day, including Live Music and Derby Day Fun.
